David Wachs
CEO
Handwrytten
A serial entrepreneur, David's latest venture, Handwrytten, helps brands cut through the growing digital noise with scalable, robot-based solutions that write notes in pen. With higher read rates than digital messages, Handwrytten creates lasting, positive customer impressions, driving loyalty and referrals.
For travel and hospitality brands, Handwrytten delivers the personal touch at scale: pre-arrival welcomes, post-stay thank-yous, loyalty member outreach, and win-back campaigns. Used by leading hospitality, eCommerce, and consumer brands, Handwrytten is changing the way companies connect with their guests and customers.
Prior to Handwrytten, David founded Cellit, a mobile marketing platform and agency serving major consumer and hospitality brands. Under David's leadership, Cellit became a leading player in mobile marketing and invented the concept of mobile customer relationship management (Mobile CRM), delivering millions of SMS and MMS messages to consumers daily. Cellit was sold to HelloWorld (f/k/a ePrize) in January 2012.
David is a frequent speaker on marketing technology and customer engagement, having presented for the Direct Marketing Association, South By Southwest, the Advertising Research Foundation, and the National Restaurant Association. He has been interviewed by The Wall Street Journal, USA TODAY, Variety, The Washington Post, and many more.
Both Handwrytten and Cellit made Inc. Magazine's Inc. 500 list of fastest-growing companies, and David writes the Inc. column "Stepping Away from the Day to Day."
